Prosper Chukunonso, a talented and ambitious young programmer, is making waves in the tech industry. Despite starting his tech career in 2021, he has already acquired proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL, and he is currently venturing into learning Python.
In a country where access to quality education and resources can be limited, Prosper’s determination and passion for technology have propelled him forward.”My journey into tech began when I stumbled upon a programming book two years ago,” Prosper recalls.
“I picked it up out of curiosity, and that’s when I fell in love with coding. Starting with HTML, I gradually expanded my skills and dived deeper into the world of programming.”
As Prosper nears his graduation from a government secondary school in Ijegun, his father’s influence on his tech journey remains a constant source of inspiration. “My dad is a tech person himself, and he has been my guiding light throughout this entire process,” Prosper shares.
“He introduced me to the wonders of technology, and his support has been invaluable.”When asked about the challenges he has faced, Prosper mentions the lack of access to necessary resources.
“There was a time when I didn’t have a computer to write code, and it was quite stressful,” he explains. “But I didn’t let that deter me. I sought alternatives and made the most of the resources available to me.”While Prosper appreciates the knowledge he gains from various coding communities, he expresses a desire for more support in his journey.
“I have learned a lot from online coding communities, but I believe having a mentor would greatly enhance my growth as a programmer,” Prosper remarks. “I admire several role models in the industry who have achieved remarkable success, and I aspire to follow in their footsteps.”Looking ahead, Prosper shares his vision for the future. “In the next three years, I want to create an innovative tech space in Africa,” he states with determination. “I want to contribute to the development of the tech ecosystem and empower others who are just starting their tech journeys.”
When asked about the impact of technology on Nigeria, Prosper confidently states, “Technology has made a positive impact globally, and Nigeria is no exception. It has the power to transform lives and drive progress. I believe that with the right resources and opportunities, we can unlock Nigeria’s potential and solve various challenges we face.”
Proud of his accomplishments thus far, Prosper is currently working on a project called Adnerx. Adnerx is an online platform that empowers businesses and individuals to create high-quality advertisements. It offers a range of tools and resources to design captivating ads that capture attention and yield results. Prosper’s project aims to bridge the gap between businesses and their target audience, providing them with a one-stop destination for effective advertising.
Beyond programming, Prosper possesses graphic design skills, which further enrich his projects. “Being a graphic designer allows me to approach projects with a visual perspective and create engaging designs that enhance the overall user experience,” he shares.As Prosper continues to navigate the tech landscape, he remains committed to self-improvement and empowering others.
