Brace Conference Returns for Its Fifth Year, Set to Empower Young Tech Enthusiasts

Rubies Technologies is excited to announce the fifth edition of the Brace Conference, themed “Digital Dream: Inspire, Create, Achieve.” This event continues Rubies Technologies’ mission to introduce, educate, and inspire young minds in the realm of digital technology, with a focus on coding and programming. As a social enterprise, Rubies Technologies is dedicated to equipping children and teenagers with vital digital skills, fostering a love for programming and preparing them for global relevance.

The Brace Conference provides a unique platform where kids and teens can learn from their peers, showcasing their projects and discussing the transformative impact of technology on their lives. This event encourages young participants to actively pursue the changes they wish to see in society through technology.

This year’s lineup of speakers includes remarkable young talents such as Victoria Yorke, a 16 year old web developer, among others.

Since its inception in August 2020, the Brace Conference has been a yearly event, empowering numerous kids and teenagers with each edition. The inaugural conference, themed “Emerging Technological Skills for Kids and Teenagers,” featured Joshua Agboola, a 10-year-old programmer and CEO of Joshfortech, who shared his journey into the tech world. Other speakers included Isaac Damian Ezirim, founder of Teens Can Code, and Delakaun Opemipo, a 14-year-old software developer.

In 2021, the second edition carried the theme “Piloting Kids on Technology Craft,” with a panel discussion on “Going Beyond School Syllabus to Create Builders.” Speakers such as Afolayan Oluwaseun, a full-stack software developer, and Aruna Afeez Abayomi, a STEM educator, shared their expertise and experiences.

The third edition in 2022, themed “Game Changer: Creating Avenue for Younger Generation to Thrive in Technology,” featured speakers like Joshua Ogbonnia, founder of E-Skool Now Group, and Uche Sussan, community manager at GenZtechies.

Last year’s conference, held in July 2023, focused on “Building the Future of Creative Thinkers” and included speakers like Mofiyinfoluwa Oluyide, Olatide Badmus, Mojoyinoluwa Adesina, and Raufu Abdurahman.

The upcoming 2024 conference promises to be an engaging and immersive experience, designed to elevate the technological skills of young attendees through learning, interaction, and networking.
